Well, every forum on every board must have a HP thread somewhere! biggrin.gif

I personally love those series. I enjoy her style of writing and really admire the way her books are so funny, easy to read yet with such an entwined plot. My favourite character, of course apart from Harry, is Hermione, because... well, she's a bit like me. Kind of.

So what do the rest of you think about this series? Also, has anyone seen the film?

Yes, I agree. I love her style of writing, and some of the characters (Ron and the twins mainly) always makes me laugh.

Does everyone know that Book 6 is going to be entitled "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince"? Who do you think the HBP could be?

Love the books, hate the movies after seeing them once. Well...almost completely hated the third on the first viewing.

Somehow I love the books but strongly dislike all the characters. Honestly, my favorite character is Hedwig. And even then, I hate the name.

Maybe Madrigal just generally dislikes the characters... I had the same symptom once, with... I can't remember the book, but I didn't like any of the characters.

Unfortunately, I've just found out that the Half Blood Prince is NOT Hagrid. JKR confirmed so. So now who is it...? o_0

biggrin.gif I love the books, read them all several times.
Don't mind the films, though they are not a patch on the books, I just enjoy them as 'interesting films' and watch the DVD's again when my brain is too tired to concentrate on a book. Mythology/readingchocobo.gif Sadly, this is happening a bit too often! dry.gif
I don't think of Harry as a 'woe is me' type, I always reckoned he is a bit too 'nice' to be a product of that upbringing! Surely he should be more 'scarred'. wacko.gif

i doubt it tho i do have a suspicion that dumbledore is up to something that jk hasnt told us yet u know when harry and dumbledore are talking in the 3 or 4 book and there is a mention of dumbledore getting a look of glee in his eyes but harry passes it off for old age or some bologna? i had some qualms about it and then read a interview where somebody asked jk about it and all she said was wow ur an intuitive reader next question. any ideas anyone?

my guess is the half- blood prince is Harry's irish friend, Seamus? Sean?(can't remember name off hand) in book one he says he is 'half and half' his mother is a witch and his Dad a muggle.
Who do you think the 'main' character to be killed off is?
so far, my ideas have been- one of the teachers, ie
Snape - dying whilst saving Harry's life, proving he is good after all!
Trelawney -after announcing a very important prediction.
or
Fang.
I came up with Fang cos I can't bear the idea of any other characters being bumped off, especially the Weasleys. I also think Neville is heading for a very important role in the up coming stories.
Mythology/bleh.gif my two pennies worth.
